Self-custody payments on Solana

The card no one
can freeze.

Steer is a payment card whose balance lives in a wallet only you control. No admin key can move it. No pause switch can trap it. Spend it, reload it, or withdraw everything — any time, on your signature alone.

How it works

A balance you own. A card you spend it with.

Three moving parts, all verifiable on-chain before you commit a single dollar.

01

Mint your card

1 SOL. Seventy-five percent is converted to $ANSEM and placed in your card's own wallet — a working balance from day one, redeemable whenever you choose.

02

Spend anywhere in the ecosystem

Pay merchants by QR or tap. Your key signs each transaction; the merchant is paid instantly, on-chain, with a public receipt.

03

Get 2% back — into the same card

A flat rebate on what you actually spend, credited straight back to the card that paid. No points, no tiers of confusion, no expiry.

Security

Bank-grade discipline, without the bank.

Most cards protect you with policy. Steer protects you with construction — the program that holds your balance has no instruction that lets anyone else touch it.

No admin access — provably

There is no instruction in the program that lets an operator, developer, or multisig withdraw or freeze a card's balance. Not a policy. An absence, verifiable in the code.

Segregated balances

Every card's funds are keyed to that card alone — never pooled, never lent, never deployed. A run on every other card cannot touch yours.

Instant card freeze — by you

Lost your physical card? One transaction (revoke) kills its spending key immediately. Only you can freeze it, and only you can un-freeze it.

Daily spending limits

Tap-to-pay runs on a delegated key with a rolling 24-hour limit you set. A stolen card caps your exposure at one day's limit — never your balance.

Withdrawals cannot be paused

The protocol's only pause switch stops new cards being minted. It cannot gate spending, reloading, or withdrawal. Your exit is always open.

Open source, adversarially tested

52 attack-scenario tests — theft, forgery, admin abuse, delegate abuse — run against every change. The security model is pinned in code, not promised in copy.

The honest asterisk: the reference build is unaudited, and a Steer card holds a volatile digital asset that can lose value. We publish what the code does and doesn't do — read it before you trust it. That's the standard we'd want as customers.

Cashback

One rate. Every card. Every purchase.

  • Flat 2% — the same for a new card and a ten-million-token card
  • Earned by spending only — holding earns nothing, by design
  • Credited to the card that paid — instantly, on-chain, same transaction
  • Funded by real revenue — merchant fees and royalties, not emissions

For businesses

Accept Steer. Join by merit, not by fee.

Anyone with a Solana address can accept a Steer payment today — open the point-of-sale and charge. Joining the official ecosystem directory is earned through review and a holder vote.

STEP 1

Apply on-chain

Permissionless. Your name, your link, and the revenue share you commit. Costs pennies of rent.

STEP 2

Screening

48-hour checklist: working product, accountable team, open source or audited, real revenue.

STEP 3

Community vote

Five days, one card one vote. The people who will spend at your business decide.

STEP 4

Approved

Directory listing, launch push, verified badge. Your revenue share funds the cashback pool.

What approval never grants: access to customers' funds. There is no instruction that lets any business — approved or not — pull a payment, debit a card, or see inside a wallet. Every payment is initiated and signed by the customer. That boundary is enforced by the program and pinned by tests.
